Matt has fast become the voice of live bike events in the UK, known for his fast paced, enthusiastic and energetic style.
A dedicated racing cyclist and rider on and off road for over 30 years, Matt rode 13 consecutive National Championships on the road and finished his racing career at the Worlds Masters Track Championships at the Manchester Velodrome.
Matt has announced and commentated at over 15 British Cycling National Championships in the last decade including the road championships at the Lincoln Grand Prix and the mountain bike cross country championships at the Commonwealth Games course in Glasgow and the 2012 Olympic Games course at Hadleigh.
Matt has been announcer & commentator at a number of international races including the UCI World Cup Cyclo Cross at Milton Keynes, the Brompton World Championships at both Goodwood racing circuit & the World Heritage site Blenheim Palace.
Covering new and exciting race and event concepts with his knowledgeable and accommodating style Matt has been the host of the Rapha Supercross Series, the Morvelo Urban Cross’s as well as bringing a fresh approach to awards dinners & corporate race days.
Working with charities & corporate clients Matt has announced at such diverse events as the Breast Cancer Care Pink Ribbon Walks and the Belron - Auto Glass Triathlon he is now covering even more sports events with extreme events such as Muddy Mayhem engaging his announcing services.
Now the announcer at the 2016 British Cycling National Championships for Road, Mountain Bike and Cyclocross plus the Skipton, Otley and Sheffield rounds of the National Elite Circuit Series, all five rounds of the National Cross Country Mountain Bike series & all six rounds of the National Trophy Cyclocross Series.
Matt continues to announce at top level races across all areas of cycle sport in the UK, with bookings for throughout 2017 coming in from new & existing clients.
